Drea fell in love with wine while working at a little wine bar in Durango. Eventually, she she left the shop to work in a respected bottle shop close by to further her personal wine knowledge, which then motivated her to explore working at a local Colorado winery. Here she was involved in the entire winemaking process, everything from pruning, harvest, cleaning kegs, to wine club membership, events, and sales. The depth of exploration possible in the wine world drives her to share her enthusiasm with anyone who will listen. As a lifelong student, she earned her Introductory Sommelier certification with The Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators.
Drea, her husband and two little boys live in Mancos, Colorado. When not pouring wine or chasing toddlers, Drea loves to read, snowboard, mountain bike, and cook; she’s famous for her salads.
