Charlie Master, originally from Detroit, studied studio arts and found his talent sufficient to pay his way through school – we think he’s a distant relative of the Dutch Masters. Like many of us, he figured out that food and beverage is what you do with a liberal arts degree: he opened a café before following the lure of mountains and sun westward. Charlie got his start in the wine business at a retail store in Boulder, where, over the course of ten years, he ascended to the position of wine buyer. When Charlie is not working, and fiancée Ashley lets him out of the kitchen, he is usually found being walked up Mt. Sanitas by their three dogs.
